Best of breed, April 21, 2010

I’ve been building my own computers since the 80′s and this is easily the best case I’ve ever used. Big, roomy, high air flow, and no bright blue lights. The included fans are large and move a lot of air. They also include connectors for your motherboards whereas most case fans only have molex connectors. The only real con is the the grill in front of the front intake fan turns grey quickly from dust accumulation.

Buyers should be aware that to add or remove drives requires that the both sides of the case be removed as the drive bays are set up so that the drive connectors face the right side of the case after sliding in from the left.

One other huge plus is that this case is long enough that even the longest video cards will fit with room to spare. This is very rare in a mid-tower though the case is nearly as tall as some full towers. It’s also deep enough that the largest of heat sinks should fit with no problems.

Bottom line, this is a great case. This is my first Cooler Master product and I’m convinced I’ll be buying more from them in the future.

Great Case for a Great Price, April 12, 2010

What an awesome case. There is so much room to work with inside the case and has some of the best wire management capabilities ive ever seen. Changed from an antec 900 case because my 5870 barely fit inside, with this case i still have another 4 inches till it hits the hard drive bays. As for the hard drive bays, i like the ease of use, no screws, just slide in and click.

Great case, has plenty of room, easily accepts all your hardware without any installtion problems.
The cooling aspects of this case are excellent. You do need two purchase one or two more fans. And the
front sata port does not work on this case, but I’m still experimenting with it. You can’t see the
power lite or the hdd lite unless u have the case on the floor. But all and all, I thought this is a
very well put together case. This was the best price around for this particular item. This is an
awesome looking and quality case.

I have a HAF 922 that I get through Amazon – great price and free shipping to boot!

I put a ASUS P6TD Deluxe in this case with a Thermalright heat sink without any clearance problems. Even the largest graphic cards fit in this case. The drive bays are tool-less and abundant. The case pushes a lot of air, which was a major part of the choice, I’m using some pretty hot components and I didn’t want to got the water-cooled route. The finish is very nice inside and out and there are no sharp edges to damage wires (or fingers!)

The case is very easy to do wire management with lots of room behind the motherboard and several penetrations to route your cables from front to back. A few more wire mount points might be nice, but there are enough. I like the bottom mounts for the power supply, keeps the weight low and makes for easy routing of power lines.

The case looks very nice on the outside with a satin black finish. Some modders like to paint the inside, but I think the aluminum inside looks good – it also has a satin finish.

The case comes with top back and front fans, you can add a bottom or side fan to get even more flow. There are provisions to water cool this case, including holes for radiator mounts and two holes in the back with rubber grommets for tubing.

The case is quite big for a mid-tower, but not quite as big as it’s big brother the Cooler Master HAF 932 High Air Flow ATX Full Tower Case Black – (RC-932-KKN1-GP). The 922 is actually a little bit longer than the 932 which fixes clearance problems with large power supplies and installing a bottom fan.
